First Aid in Mental Health Problems [FAMHP] is the help provided to a person in the process of developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, First Aid for Mental Health Problems teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health. FAMHP is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved.
The FAMHP program aims to improve mental health literacy, and provide the skills and knowledge to help people better manage potential or developing mental health problems in themselves, a family member, a friend or a colleague.
The training program will be conducted once in three months. We are happy to announce our first training program on 2.4.2016[Saturday] at the Department of Mental Health Education, NIMHANS, Bangalore. Please look at the poster for additional information.
